The Pan African Sanctuary Alliance (PASA) is dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of Africa’s primates and the conservation of their natural habitat. But we need your help. PASA is battling a variety of forces – deforestation, illegal hunting and logging, human encroachment, deadly diseases, and the bushmeat crisis, among others – and our sanctuaries take in over 150 primates every year. At the current rate of decline, many experts believe that chimpanzees, gorillas, and bonobos may cease to exist in the wild within 50 years.
